TYPE SPECIMEN BOOKLET
A pangram is a short, concise phrase that includes all of the letters in the alphabet. One of the most famous English pangrams is the phrase, “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.” Typographers have commonly used this phrase to see how typefaces appear in a sentence. Therefore, when I was given the opportunity to create a short type specimen booklet, I decided it would be fitting to use a phrase rooted in typographic history. The booklet expands on the short story of the quick brown fox and portrays the application of each font family through the incorporation of the full alphabet. Each spread is also embellished with colorful animal silhouettes that I created in Adobe Illustrator.
