OLSEN'S BARN

​

In order to explore the watercolor medium and learn different techniques that lean towards realism, I chose to paint a barn located in Northern Wisconsin.  The owners recently celebrated the barn's 100th anniversary.  With ties to Swedish heritage, the structure is uniquely shaped and carries on their family traditions.  It was a privilege to capture such a meaningful subject that is deeply rooted in the history of the Olsen family.
